Terms of use and sale
Version of 19 October 2026 (draft) · reference legal-2026-10-19-draft
In short. YOURTAP is entertainment: each €1 payment buys one participation for one of a question’s two answers, counted in a public counter aggregated by country. Paid, repeatable participation · Results are not representative. It is not an official vote, a poll, gambling or a donation: there is no prize and nothing to win.
This English text is a complete and faithful translation of the French terms; the French version prevails in case of difference (see section 12).

2. Purpose
These terms govern the use of the site and the purchase of participations. Reading questions, results and explainers is free and needs no account. Each purchase is governed by the version of these terms displayed at the time of that purchase; the reference of that version, shown at the top of the page, is recorded with the order.
3. What the service is
YOURTAP offers questions with two answers, set by the editors for each question: YES and NO by default, or two other labels (for example “France” and “Spain”). Each confirmed payment adds one participation, for the chosen answer, to the question’s public counter, aggregated by country. You may take part several times: each payment counts as one participation.
It is entertainment. It is not an official vote, a representative poll, gambling or a game of chance, a donation, or funding for a cause or a side. There is no prize, winnings, draw or redistribution. The amounts paid pay for the service.
Results only reflect the participations purchased; they do not represent the opinion of any population.
4. Price and payment
- Price: €1 per participation, all taxes included, shown on the YES and NO buttons before any payment. Depending on your country, part of this amount may be a tax calculated and collected through Stripe Tax; you still pay €1, no tax is added on top. In France, VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the French General Tax Code).
- To locate the tax, Stripe’s payment page may ask for your country and, in some countries, your postal code.
- Payment by card on Stripe’s secure payment page (Stripe Checkout), or with a compatible wallet offered on that page.
- No account is needed to pay. The site never sees your card number: you enter it on Stripe’s page.
- Payment is reserved for adults: 18, or the age of majority in your country if it is higher.
- Sales area: worldwide, except countries where Stripe cannot operate, countries under sanctions and countries the operator has closed to sales (for example until it is registered there for tax). From a closed country, the order is refused before any payment. [TO BE COMPLETED: list of countries closed to sales at launch, to be settled with the accountant]
5. How participations are counted
- A participation is only counted once Stripe confirms the payment. Coming back to the site after paying is not enough.
- The public counter shows all active paid participations, repeats included.
- Internally, each payment is linked to a payer identity: your account if you are signed in, otherwise a fingerprint of your card supplied by Stripe and stored only in hashed form. An identity’s first participation on a question is its opinion; later ones on the same side are supports. A participation for the other answer moves the opinion to that new choice; the earlier one is not refunded and still counts.
- When a question closes, the number of voters (identities) and supports is published worldwide. Several cards or several accounts make several identities, and a phone wallet may form an identity separate from the card: this figure does not count people.
- Your participations are never used to target you or show you advertising.
6. Immediate performance and right of withdrawal
The participation is supplied and fully performed as soon as the payment is confirmed: it is added to the counter immediately. In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code and article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, by paying you request immediate performance of the service and expressly waive your right of withdrawal. This is restated just before payment. If you live outside France, mandatory rights granted by the law of your country of residence may also apply.
7. Refunds and disputes
- A counted participation is not refunded, except in the case of a proven technical error or double charge.
- A payment confirmed after a question has closed is not counted: it is refunded automatically.
- A full refund removes the participation; a partial refund keeps it until the full amount has been refunded.
- A payment dispute with your bank suspends the participation until it is resolved; a resolution in favour of the payment restores it.
- Results, including those of a closed question, may therefore be corrected after a refund or a dispute.
- Complaints: write to contact@atelieriajura.fr with the question and the date and time of payment. We answer within 7 days.
8. Closing, pause and shutdown
A question may have a closing date set in advance. After closing, purchases are closed and results remain available. The operator may at any time pause new participations or stop the service; confirmed participations and results are kept.
9. Explainers
The explainers accompanying the questions are prepared with the help of artificial intelligence, then reviewed and published by the operator. Their sources are cited. They are informative, free and independent of purchases. To report an error: contact@atelieriajura.fr.
10. Optional account
The account (a username and a password of at least 12 characters) is optional and reserved for adults. This version cannot recover a forgotten password: keep it safe. You can delete your account yourself once signed in, from “Your account” (profile icon at the top of the screen, then “Delete my account” and confirm), or ask for it at contact@atelieriajura.fr. Deletion is immediate and final: your paid participations still count, without any link to your username, and are not refunded (see the privacy policy).
11. Availability and liability
The service is provided as is. The operator strives to keep it available without guaranteeing continuous availability (maintenance, outage, payment provider unavailable). A participation whose payment is confirmed stays counted even if the display is briefly interrupted. These terms do not limit any of your rights under the French Consumer Code or under the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
You agree not to disrupt the service: abusive automation, intrusion attempts, fraudulent use of a payment method.
12. Complaints, mediation and governing law
First send your complaint in writing to contact@atelieriajura.fr. If it is not resolved, you may refer it free of charge to the consumer mediator: [TO BE COMPLETED: name, postal address and website of the consumer mediator]
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer living in another country, this choice does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence. The competent courts are determined by the rules that apply to consumers.
Language: these terms are written in French and English. The English version is a complete and faithful translation; in case of difference, the French version prevails. [TO BE COMPLETED: language rule to be confirmed: French version prevails (current text) or both versions equally authentic; with a mostly English-speaking clientele, a clause giving priority to French may be set aside in the consumer’s favour]
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may change; their date appears at the top of the page. See also the privacy policy.
